A quick summary

Destiny 2 is an online first person shooter with very similar attributes to an mmo (massively multiplayer online). This game was developed by bungie which were the origial founders to the popular franchise the Halo series. This is a sequal to the orginal Destiny game which was released in 2014. The game is set futuristic science fiction world where the player assumes the role of a guardian. Essentially a dead person that was revived by a mysterious force called the light. The story of the destiny series is on going. With every expansion comes an additional piece to to the story.
